Julia E. Whitley is a native Houstonian. Ms. Whitley began her career of radio journalism while attending school at Texas Southern University. She pursued a degree in Telecommunication and was one of the first female broadcasters on KTSU 90.9 FM's radio. Julia hosted a show entitled" First Lady." Her voice is used in numerous weddings, in which she elegantly recites and writes custom vows. Ms. Whitley has been Mistress of Ceremony on many occasions, including the 10th annual Gospel new Artist and Radio Manufacturing Showcase, and Bound for Glory featuring the talented Ms. Mona Moore in Houston, Texas. Julia is also a talented writer and columnist writing articles in both the Kuumba Heritage located in Greenville, Texas, and the Power Pages in northeast Texas. This steered her to be a reporter for the "Gospel Truth Magazine," which gave her the opportunity to interview some of Gospel's greatest such as: Candi Staton, Hezekiah Walker, Clifton Davis, Rance Allen, Vicki Winans, Bishop Carlton Pearson, Rev. Jackie McCullough and others. Julia volunteers at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institution, Houston and Huntsville Divisions where she ministers and tells of Jehovah Rapha's healing power of how she was healed from cancer of the salivary gland. She Previously hosted "Heart to Heart," a radio gospel show on KCOH 1430 AM in Houston, Texas Ms. Whitley has recorded a Spiritual CD and is currently writing a short story, bio. Today she host "On The Religion Side," a radio show aired on KYOK 1140 AM in Houston, Texas airing on Sundays from 2:00 p.m. until 6 p.m. Ms. Whitley is known as a fisherwoman for souls with a zeal and fire for GOD. |
